Description
Credit to the late Elliot Scott, production artist for Labyrinth.
This is a panoramic view of the fantasy ballroom scene, based of the actual concept art. I saw it on an old documentary of the film's production posted on youtube. And I've got to say that you won't appreciate a Henson film nearly as much as when you see how much care and detail everyone involved put into the films.
The original was pretty grainy on Youtube, so I made my best guess, trying to convey the theme of mirrors, chandeliers and large platforms/pillars.
Jareth and Sarah in the center was all me.
So there you are, a part of Labyrinth that you knew existed, probably, because there were ballroom dancer and party-goers filling up every scene. I know I was surprised.
PS: Elliot Scott is so awesome, if anyone would help me with finding his work I would be so happy. I found out first hand how underappreciated production art really is, because you can't really find anything from searching on the internet.

I recently watched the anniversary dvd and seeing the ballroom scene allowed me to notice a lot of the details like this amazing artwork shows! Yay!
Well designed production art ALWAYS gets me in my guts. Sometimes it's so beautiful, I'm moved to tears.
